Our developed ideas with Matt

 OUR NEW IDEA

After talking to Matt and hearing him explain to us how some of the elements to our video could be developed or even removed to make the best possible result for the song we chose, we decided to completely change our idea and develop one which we will enjoy making, and one which the audience might prefer. We have decided to stay with the same song for our video, as we believe this is a song people will like and want to listen too, we have asked others there opinion of the song where all of the feedback was positive. 

Our overall music video idea now is to have a split screen showing Jacob, our main singer in two different environments. The environments would be different party scenes, in different time eras with different moods to them overall. The first one would be a old skool standing party with people dressed in typical outfits from the 80/90s, which would be in black and white to show the contrast of the two. Our other party would be a psychedelic colour scheme, so bright pinks and yellows set in the 21st century. Both the party environments would be causal and chilled, which matches Jacobs aesthetic and whole personality overall. We will project psychedelic patterns onto the faces of the actors and use close up shots to reflect this. In the 80/90s party one we will reflect the time period by having posters on the walls of popular bands of this time, such as oasis. We decided to include the different times to show Jacobs interests to the audience, as he told us how the music he listens too are oasis and other 90s bands as well as 80s rocks bands, so we presented this by including the party of the era. The other genre he listens too is more modern rap, which why we had the idea to reflect this in the modern psychedelic scene.  

We are still using our original idea of reflecting the psychedelic pictures onto the actors faces, but because of COVID rules, we will use more close up's as we are only allowed 5 people in the video.

Here are some of the posters we would like to use in the background of our video, this will set the time era and also show the audience what kind of music our Artist enjoys. I think over the shoulder shots would be perfect for this to show the people talking at the party, so they can see the posters in the background subtly.
